"I began as a photographer and became a printmaker after realizing drawing as a way to overcome the physical limitations of photography. Painting became a natural extension of the exploration of drawing in prints, and I now work primarily in oil on linen. My work is about deconstruction of the individual psyche to reach universal truths and archetypes. I utilize techniques of the surrealists such as automatic drawing and meditation to achieve these goals."
